Is Aykez Chikankari hand-embroidered or machine-made?
Every Aykez piece is genuine hand Chikankari, embroidered by artisans in Lucknow, India using traditional stitches such as bakhiya (shadow work), phanda, jaali and murri. Small variations between pieces are the mark of authentic handwork, not defects.
Which countries does Aykez ship to, and how long does delivery take?
We ship worldwide from Lucknow, India, including the UK, UAE and USA. Tracked international delivery typically takes about 7–14 days depending on destination and customs. Exact shipping cost and estimated timeline are shown at checkout before you pay, and shipping is free over the order threshold shown in your cart.
Will I have to pay customs duties or import VAT?
As an overseas retailer we do not add UK VAT or local sales tax at checkout. International orders may be subject to import VAT and, on larger orders, customs duty collected by the courier before delivery. These charges are set by the destination country and are the customer’s responsibility.
How do I choose the right size?
Every product page has a size guide button next to the size selector, with garment measurements in inches. Chikankari is designed for a relaxed, breathable fit — if you are between sizes we recommend sizing up. Sarees and dupattas are free size.
What currencies can I pay in?
Prices can be shown in Indian Rupees (INR), British Pounds (GBP), UAE Dirhams (AED) or US Dollars (USD) using the currency switcher. Your card issuer applies the final exchange rate at payment.
How do I wash and care for Chikankari?
For the first wash we recommend dry cleaning, especially for georgette pieces. After that, gentle cold hand-wash with a mild detergent, no wringing, and dry flat in shade. Avoid chlorine bleach and never machine-wash the embroidery. See our care guide for full instructions.
What is your return and cancellation policy?
Returns and cancellations are handled per our Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy — please review it before ordering. Because items are hand-embroidered, minor irregularities in the embroidery are characteristics of hand work and are not considered defects. For any issue, email hello@aykez.com.
